CH. Haurand's Little Miss Dune (Jennifer)
Sometimes a dog comes into your life that holds the very core of your heart! This is what Jennifer did to me. The consumate show dog, great in the whelping box, and the best couch potato a person could have. Alas, we lost Jennifer at a very early age. The hole in my heart is still there, but I have her kids, grandkids and greatgrand kids to remind me every day what a beautiful and wonderful dog our Jennifer was.

Dune's Mississippi Jake
Jake (Lady's litter brother) lived a long and healthy life with us from the age of 6 weeks, when we brought both of them home from the Norfolk SPCA. In his later years he became known as the "Grumpy Old Man". Both Jake and Lady will be sorely missed.April 1990 - November 2008

Dune's Lady of the House (Lady)
This pretty little girl came to us at the age of 6 weeks old from the Norfolk SPCA, along with her brother, Jake. They were no bigger than our hands and a walk lasted only 10 minutes before they were to pooped to walk any more. Lady lived up to her name and died quietly in her sleep at the age of 15. Sleep well my Lady.

Dune's Deep River Misty Rain (Rain)
Rain came to us as a 10 week old puppy via Kathy Moll of Deep River Collies. We showed her at 6 months old at a Specialty Show, just to see how she would do. Imagine the delight when we took Winner Bitch from the 6-9 Puppy Class. But a very traumatic event kept her from the show ring after that. But Rain did grace us twice with litters and a wonderful legacy in her kids. She was a beautiful dog, with a lovely soul, a happy smile, a really sweet personality and adored us tremendously. She was only 7-1/2 when she left us, much sooner than we liked. Rain will be sorely missed.July 20, 2000 - January 12, 2008
Ch. Dune's Phantom of the Opera (Ian)
Thank you Nancy Holmes for this picture of Ian.Throughout the years some things just don't change. Ian and Blondie were pals from day one. Born the day "The Phantom of the Opera" came into town, and lovingly named for one of the men I dressed, Ian was a heartbreaker. He had presence and charisma, loved everyone he met and would do ANYTHING for his mom. He was a very special dog, a wonderful show dog and companion. Ian was very forgiving of his sister's (Blondie) rough antics, he just went with the flow. He produced one litter in his lifetime, and made a lot of people very happy with his pups. Ian loved to watch NASCAR and football with his Dad, and snuggle with his Mom. I am going to very dearly miss my BooBoo, but know that his dam, Jennifer is now watching over him once again at the Rainbow Bridge. Sleep well my son, and I will see you soon!

CH. HAURAND'S BLUE SHAMROCK
MAR 15 1995 - DEC 15 2008
This morning at 9:30 am we laid to rest our smooth collie, Katey. She was our first smooth...our first show dog...our first AKC Champion...but most of all she was our beloved companion. Katey was a great mentor in the show ring...how can you lose when you have a winning attitude. She taught me that going to shows was fun, especially staying motels where bed jumping is a sport. She taught me patience, humility and most of all she taught me about Collies. Unfortunately, Katey never did give me a litter, but her 1/2 sister Jennifer did. Katey and Jennifer live on in Blondie, Tabitha and Diva. There will never be another Katey....but her memory will live on forever in my heart.
Rest well my sweet Katey Darling. Take care of Jennifer, Jake, Lady Rain, Ian and the sweet puppies that were born here but lost. I will see you at the Rainbow Bridge when my time comes. I can't wait to see your smiling eyes again.

AKC/UKC Ch. Dune's Deep River Golden Son "Andy"
Feb. 24, 1996 - Mar. 17, 2009How do you say good-bye to such a special friend? My confidante, my shoulder to cry on, my snuggler, and probably the most game show dog I have ever owned. My heart is heavy losing such a good friend, but he joins more special friends at the Rainbow Bridge.
Sleep well my Son, for I will see you soon. Make sure you take care of your Daddy until I get there.

Dune's Shy-Anne Redfeather "Shy-Shy"
April 30, 1994 - Mar. 17, 2009 Sleep well my Beloved Heartdog, for I will surely miss your sweet face. You were my protector, my sleeping buddy but most of all you were my heart. While I miss and grieve for all those that have gone before you, you will be the one that hurts my heart the longest. From the day I brought you home I knew you would be that special dog that stole my heart. We've been through so much together, you and I, how will I cope now that you are gone. Stay happy my sweet baby-dog, and give Daddy a big sloppy kiss for me when you see him at the Rainbow Bridge.
